Hospital transport
To qualify for hospital transport you must live at least three miles from the hospital and have no other means of attending, eg own vehicle, a friend or public / voluntary transport.
If you suffer severe physical or mental problems, or are attending for treatment which has physical side effects, you may qualify for transport.
Transport arrangements should be made with the hospital when booking your appointment.
Community transport
If you have difficulty using conventional public transport, East Cambs Social Car Scheme can be contacted on 01353 666553 between 9.30am and 12.30pm.
There is a charge of 45p per mile.
