Changes to messaging services from St Mary’s

Posted on:

The MJog Messenger App is no longer being supported by the company who provided it and as a consequence surgeries will no longer be sending messages to patients using this App.

If you have previously signed up to use the MJog Messenger app or MJog Smart service, you will receive a message informing you of the changes and recommending that you delete the MJog App from your devices.

There will be no change in how the surgery contacts you if you have consented to receive SMS text messages from us. Text messages provide a quick, immediate and reliable way for us to remind you of appointments, annual health checks and so on, or for you to cancel an appointment. Anyone can request to receive SMS messages; simply let us know next time you are in touch with us.

It would be tremendously helpful to the surgery if you could ensure we have your current contact details, including your mobile phone number.

Patients who order medication or book appointments via SystmOnline or the NHS App, will be able to update their contact details via these services. Or, if you do not have access to the internet, please call us on 01353 663434, selecting option 1 from the menu and we will be glad to update your details.
