Patient Notice

Here at St Mary’s Surgery, we are committed to providing safe and exemplary care. We fully appreciate it can be frustrating for patients when AskMyGP is unavailable. AskMyGP switches off when we have reached the capacity which is deemed to be at the limits of providing safe patient care.

Our phone lines remain open until 6pm Monday-Friday. If you feel your matter is urgent or cannot wait until the next working day, please do ring us. Our Patient Services Team will pass your concern to the on-call GP who will triage your request.

We offer face-to-face, telephone and email appointments. We ask that patients ensure they are available to attend the surgery, if deemed clinically necessary, on the day they contact us.

Where possible, we will always try to contact or see you at a time convenient for you, however, this may not always be possible, and we do ask for you to be flexible. Please ensure you are contactable throughout the day and that your contact details are up to date. We will ring you three times throughout the day so please don’t worry if you miss a phone-call from us, we will try again.

Unfortunately, we have no access to hospital waiting lists. Please only contact us to discuss your referral if your symptoms have changed. To find out about the average hospital waiting time for your speciality please see My Planned Care

We thank all our patients who are understanding of the difficulties the NHS is facing, please be assured we are committed to continuing to provide care for our community.
