Flu Vaccinations
Towards the end of August, we will start to send text messages to patients who are eligible for a flu vaccination this year.
The text message will contain a booking link which will allow eligible patients to book into an appointment of their choice. Patients who are eligible for a COVID booster vaccination will also be offered this at the same appointment. Please be aware the eligibility criteria for the COVID booster has changed this year, so some patients who have received it previously may no longer be eligible. Also, we are unable to offer separate appointments for each vaccination.
Patients who do not wish to book their appointment online will be able to phone the surgery as in previous years. We will be updating our phone system to include an extra option exclusively for patients wishing to book their flu vaccination.
Clinics will be held on the following dates:
- 4th, 11th and 18th October
- 8th and 9th November
If you are eligible but unable to attend one of our weekend clinics, we will be running some small clinics during the week later in the flu season, but numbers will be limited so please try to attend a weekend clinic if you can.
We will be contacting care homes and housebound patients directly to arrange vaccination
We are aware flu vaccinations are available elsewhere, but we would like to ask you to support your NHS and General Practice and have your vaccination at the surgery. This ensures your records remain complete and also allows us to undertake or recommend any other relevant health checks.
