COVID-19 weekly vaccination update

Posted on:

Here is the latest update from the Ely Primary Care Network:

  • Over 39,000 vaccines delivered, including over 10,500 second doses
  • We are above target in ALL priority groups 1-9 in both Ely North and Ely South PCNs
  • We are now inviting those aged over 45 – dates of clinics to be announced when more vaccine arrives.

GREAT NEWS – the PCNs will continue as vaccination hubs and in due course, we will be opening up our clinics and inviting all those aged 18-50.

Some people with learning disabilities have not yet had their vaccine. If you are, or are a carer for, someone with learning disabilities, please call your surgery to book your appointment.

We continue to contact patients for their vaccination appointments. As we have previously requested, please do wait until you are contacted – by phone, SMS text or letter – to book an appointment, until we have specifically asked your priority group to contact us. You will not be forgotten.

Our reception teams are incredibly busy fielding all the usual care alongside enquiries about vaccinations, so your patience really does help a huge amount.

Ely PCN consists of the following GP practices: St George’s Medical Centre, Burwell Surgery, Cathedral Medical Centre, St Mary’s Surgery, Staploe Medical Centre and Haddenham Surgery.

Do keep an eye on the website or our Facebook page for further updates.
