World’s first COVID vaccine booster trial

Would you like to be part of the team that helps shape the ongoing national vaccination programme? This is a call for volunteers for the world’s first COVID vaccination booster trial.

COV-Boost vaccine clinical trial

The trial – known as COV-Boost – is being run by the University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust. It will evaluate COVID-19 vaccine boosters and will help shape the wider plans for the national vaccine booster programme later this year. The study is being delivered by a network of trial sites across the UK, including Addenbrooke’s hospital.

The COV-Boost researchers are looking for volunteers aged 30 years and over who had their first dose of vaccine in December 2020 or January 2021 and have since received a second dose.

Find out if you are eligible by completing the COV-Boost pre-screening questionnaire.

Please note that travel to research or other healthcare appointments is considered essential travel at this time of extra COVID restrictions, and that your appointment will take place in a COVID-safe environment.
