Fraudulent COVID passes
We have been made aware some patients are being sent emails asking for a payment to renew their COVID pass.
Emails and text messages like this are scams. The NHS will NEVER ask for payment.
The NHS App is FREE. The NHS COVID PASS is FREE.
The NHS will NEVER ask for your bank account or card details and will NEVER ask for a PIN number. Any text or email you receive that does ask for these is FRAUDULENT.
If you have received a text message you think is suspicious, please forward it to the number 7726, which is free of charge and reports the text.
If you are suspicious about an email you have received, please report it by forwarding it to firstname.lastname@example.org
If you believe you are the victim of a COVID-related fraud, please report this to Action Fraud as soon as possible or by calling 0300 123 2040.
